Rural tourism can be so many things. Well, most of them. But beyond wellness, it can also be an exercise in memory and gratitude. This can be seen in the case of the very old Quinta do Chocalhinho, which was acquired as a piece of land in 1947 by Luís Mendonça Freitas, an old railroader and fisherman. He remarkably developed the Quinta as long as he lived. Today, the Quinta has been thoroughly renovated by his grandson - the founder's namesake. He attaches great importance to receiving his guests in the same way as his predecessor used to do: as friends - warm and loving. The Quinta do Chocalhinho, which was also called “Farmland of Memory or the Great House”, testifies to the deeply felt presence of the grandfather LMF. She also reports today of the five generations who want to tell everyone who walks the path of life about a family, as well as the secrets of the region, which, as its witnesses, is home to countless birds, wild boar, wild rabbits, trees and flowers over its 70 hectares . Not to forget the wonderful mornings and starry nights, which bring out the silence with moonlight.
